2021年11月15—17日，中芬联合学习创新研究院2021年年会在线上举行，会议的主题是教育与可持续发展目标（Education and Sustainable Development Goals），来自中芬两国和世界各国的教育研究者参加了会议。

北京师范大学国际与比较教育研究院刘宝存教授应邀出席年会，并做了题为The Transformation of Knowledge Production Mode and the Research Ecosystem Innovation of Research Universities的主旨报告。在主旨报告中，他分析了不同知识生产模式下研究型大学科研生态的变革和特征。另外，刘宝存还作为嘉宾参与了分论坛Reforms and practices in Chinese and Finnish education: Lessons for addressing global challenges in education development with respect to SDGs?，并做了题为Supervisor and Graduate Student Seminar and Quality Assurance in Chinese Universities的演讲。在演讲中，他分析了中国大学的师门文化以及不同师门文化和师门会类型的特征，指出师门会在中国研究生教育质量保障中的重要作用。
