On February 24, 2023, the Seventh Annual Meeting of the China University Think Tank Forum was held at Fudan University. The theme was "Comprehensively Promoting the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation with Chinese-style Modernization". It set up five roundtable conferences, including "New Economic Momentum: High-quality Development and China's New Journey of Modernization", "New Social Directions: Chinese-style Modernization and Comprehensive Human Development", "New Development of Education: Achieving Educational Modernization and Building an Education Power", "New Cultural Strength: Telling the Story of 'A New Form of Human Civilization' in China" and "New Global Pattern: Innovation in Global Governance with Chinese Wisdom".

IICE Professor LIU Baocun attended and delivered a speech entitled "The Connotation, Process and Experience of Chinese-style Educational Modernization." He said Chinese-style educational modernization is the key to promoting Chinese-style modernization and a strategic foundation to guarantee it. Chinese-style educational modernization unfolded serving Chinese-style modernization, with a profound history and practical significance. It experienced twists exploring the PRC's early days, accelerated changes after reform and opening up, and in-depth development in the early 21st century. It successfully raised to a higher level in the new era, condensing into a complete discourse system and action plan for Chinese-style educational modernization. The experience of building Chinese-style educational modernization includes: upholding the CPC's leadership; serving Chinese-style modernization; developing people-centered education; establishing a high-quality education system; further opening the education sector to the world; comprehensively promoting educational governance modernization.
