On September 16-19, IICE Professor Lin Jie along with members of the higher education teachers’ mid-to-late career development research team, including Liu Yeqing and Zhao Yifei, visited Xiamen for on-site research and interviews.

Professor Lin Jie engaged in discussions and dialogues with faculty members at Xiamen University on topics related to the higher education teachers’ mid-to-late career development achievements of teachers and issues concerning career plateaus. They discussed and explored solutions for the challenges faced by teachers and planned for the subsequent stages of the research project.

During their research visit in Xiamen, IICE Professor Lin and the research team also visited the Overseas Chinese Museum to learn about the history of Chinese emigration to Southeast Asia along the southeastern coast of China. They viewed cultural relics related to institutions like Nanyang University in Singapore, gathering valuable information for their research project, which focuses on innovative talent development in higher education in Singapore.
