On June 30, 2020, the first mid-term defense and graduation thesis opening meeting of the first cohort of international master’s students in the major of education (level 2019) recruited by IICE was held on Tencent Online in three groups. Three students in each group submit reports, and four advisors (including an expert in the field of basic education) formed a review group. The 9 students who participated in the proposal seminar reported their main content of the research plan, and answered questions raised by instructors of each group. The proposals focused on a broad range of educational topics, covering relevant issues in basic education management and education and teaching in reality. After deliberation, all 9 students successfully passed the proposal review.
