From November 27 to 29, 2019, IICE Professor WANG Lu and Lecturer ZHANG Mengqi delivered training to principals and teachers at Chengdu Hi-tech Xinyuan School. The training activities were part of a national project on the internationalization of basic education. More than 200 teachers and school leaders attended the activities.

Prof. WANG Lu delivered a speech entitled ‘Educational Features of English Public Schools’ in which she analyzed the systems, ideas, curriculum setting, administration and resource allocation, and invisible courses and culture of public schools in England. Dr. ZHANG’s speech was entitled ‘Citizen Cultivation in Interdisciplinary Environment: the Concept and Practice of French Citizen Moral Education’. She elaborated upon the development history, policy concept, implementation framework system and classroom cases of French civic moral education, and shared with the audience how France trained qualified social citizens for the future world in an interdisciplinary environment.

Prof. WANG Lu and Dr. ZHANG Mengqi are the third and second from the right respectively
