On November 15, 2019, IICE Professor JIANG Yingmin attended a series of training activities aimed at improving school teachers’ international literacy in Chengdu as one of the trainers. More than 200 school principals, teachers and researchers attended these sessions.

In the morning, Prof. JIANG delivered a lecture entitled ‘Theories and Curricular Practices of Education for International Understanding’. She elaborated upon the current state of course development in the field of education for international understanding from three perspectives: why education for international understanding is important, what is education for international understanding, and how secondary and primary schools can provide such an education.

In the afternoon, Prof. JIANG had a small-scale talk with experts and teachers from Chengdu Educational Bureau and a nationwide famous school Chengdu No.7 Middle School to discuss how the Middle School can further incorporate elements of education for international understanding into their curricular system.
