On November 13, 2019, the ‘Cross-cultural and Cross-disciplinary Conference’ was held at Capital Normal University (CNU) in Beijing. The conference was held in celebration of the first anniversary of the Cross-cultural Educational Research Institute of CNU, and was joined by scholars and experts from various higher education institutions such as Fudan University, Peking University and Beijing Language and Culture University. IICE Professor TENG Jun attended the meeting on behalf of IICE.

Experts and scholars discussed state-of-the-art issues in various fields of study including linguistics, arts, education and technology and exchanged ideas on how to deliver cross-disciplinary education in university curriculum systems. Prof. TENG shared with the audience IICE’s experiences in carrying out international education and cross-cultural education, and also shared experiences of some Chinese international schools in providing cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary education.
