On November 11, 2018, a China-US headmaster forum was held by BNU Nanhu School in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. More than 100 educators from US and China attended the forum, including IICE Associate Professor TENG Jun.
Representatives from both countries shared speeches on various topics such as educational leadership integration, student growth, restructuring of US curricula, and building smart classes.
Prof. TENG as a commentator of the various speeches called for more cooperation and exchanges between education sectors of China and US because the two countries, despite different histories and cultures, shared a very common goal, which was to pursue a higher quality of education. She believed such exchanges would promote the quality of both countries’ education.
BNU Nanhu School was a public school offering nine-year compulsory education and was co-established by Beijing Normal University and Nanhu District Government, Jiaxing City in 2008. So far, it has a total of more than 300 full time teachers and more than 5,000 registered students. This forum was held also for the celebration of the school’s 10th anniversary.
