On October 4, 2018, the 10th World Scientific Practice Conference and the 25th Ukrainian National Education Congress was jointly held by Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science and Ukraine’s National Institute of Educational Science in Kiev, Ukraine. IICE Professor XIAO Su was awarded Ukraine’s prestigious national educational prize ‘Sukhomlinskii Medal’, which is one of the three very important national educational prizes in Ukraine.
This prize is awarded by Ukraine’s government to those who have made significant contributions to the study and spread of educational thoughts of the late Ukrainian educator Sukhomlinskii Vasyl Olexandrovych. Only three persons were awarded this prestigious medal in 2018, and Prof. XIAO was the only foreign awardee.
