IICE Professor LIU Baocun and LIU Qiang Attended APEC VET Skills Recognition Symposium


 On December 4, 2017, APEC VET Skills Recognition Symposium was organized by Australian Education International (AEI) at the Australian Embassy in Beijing. AEI is a department of Australian Embassy that aims to assist overseas qualified people to work and study in Australia by providing official information and advice on the comparability of overseas qualifications with Australian qualifications. IICE Professor LIU Baocun, LIU Qiang and 20 other representatives from Chinese government bodies, higher institutions of learning, R&D departments, vocational education institutes, businesses and industry sectors attended the symposium.

 

Representatives in the symposium mainly discussed such topics as the feasibility and development of a framework of skills recognition among APEC economies, VET talents mobility, and Chinese enterprises’ dilemmas in this regard. The symposium also put forward suggestions on the skills recognition practice in the near future.
