Well-known Comparative Education Scholar Professor David Andrew Turner teaches at IICE

      Professor David Andrew Turner, a well-known English scholar in comparative education, was appointed by IICE, and with funding from Beijing Normal University Graduate College, to teach Education Management and Leadership for the International Master’s Program.
      Prof. Andrew is currently an executive board member of the World Council for Comparative Education Societies, Chief Education Professor of the Department of Business and Society, University of Glamorgan. Prof. Andrew graduated from the College of Education, University of London. He also taught in the College of Education, University of London, and at the University of East London. Many higher education institutions in the U.S., Japan, Mexico, Australia, the Netherlands, etc. have presented him with honorary professor status; Prof. Turner also serves as national Ministry of Education consultant to Mexico, Slovakia, Spain, etc. Prof. Turner has a wide selection of publications, and his major research interests lie in comparative education, higher education learning and teaching, education management and finance.
      The Education Management and Leadership course taught by Prof. Turner is a core component of the International Education Leadership and Policy Master’s Program, and is offered to mainly the Class of 2013 MA students, but has also been open to the traditional Chinese program students. The course is divided into three sections: Organization Theory and Analysis, Leadership Studies, and Administrative Processes. The course has been well-varied and very lively, and many students have found Prof. Turner’s academic teaching very enriching.
