Institute of International and Comparative Education,
Beijing Normal University
Beijing, P.R. China
Background
With the deepening of economic globalization and the rapid development of information technology, the internationalization and regionalization of education have become important trends in current global educational reform and development. The current vision of global education is constituted by such diverse trends as the borrowing and lending of educational policy and practice around the world, the integration of regional education, the global mobility of students and teachers at all levels of education, the rise of international schools, and the development of international curriculums and international tests. At the same time, the relationships among internationalization, regionalization and localization have become hot topics of global education reform and development. These are the topics that will serve as starting points for the fifth Worldwide Forum for Comparative Education.
For the fifth consecutive time, the Institute of International and Comparative Education, Beijing Normal University , with strong support from the China Comparative Education Society, is pleased to announce that it will host this triennial Forum, unique in that it is designed to provide a platform for a wide range of Chinese education researchers, policy makers, practitioners, and their foreign counterparts to share experiences, exchange ideas, establish collaborations, and discuss potential solutions about these topics.
