Lecture (No.94): How to Be a Good Teacher?

 On August 23, 2016, Professor Anthony Welch (University of Sydney, Australia), Professor Monica Elena MINCU (University of Turin, Italy), Professor GUO Yan (University of Calgary, Canada), Professor Romuald Normand (University of Strasbourg, France) and Agnes Normand (Mathematics Teacher from Lyons High School) delivered a dialogue entitled “How to be a good teacher?” for IICE’s International Education Podium. The dialogue was chaired by Dr. HE Xiaona and attended by graduate students from the IICE and teachers from a number of high schools in Beijing.

 

The scholars focused on a variety of issues on teaching at schools in their home countries including teachers’ weekly workload, classroom assessment, teacher-student relationships, and standards for teacher recruitment.
