      Prof. QIAN Han, Associate Professor at the Research Center for Art, Beijing Normal University, gave a presentation of “Sino-French Culture comparison in a different perspective.” Dr. LIU Min hosted this presentation, and many students from various departments including IICE participated in the event.
      Understanding French culture is much more than viewing France as a romantic destination. Prof. QIAN introduced the philosophy movements, literature genres, and socio-norms, linking French Culture’s past and present. He then led the audience to explore the difference in Sino-French academic goals, such as standards and evaluation, through seeking “unity” and “multi-cultural” perspectives. Prof. QIAN’s presentation is lively and genuine, enriching students＇ experience at the event.
