Academic Visit: Professor Romuald Normand, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France

      On March 21st, 22nd, 27th, and 28th, Professor Romuald Normand from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France presented a lecture series titled “Education Reform in International Perspective.” Many students from the International Education PhD and Master’s Program attended the lectures.
      Professor Romuald Normand is currently a professor of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and has a broad scope of research interests, including comparative education, education policy, education reform, education management, etc. During Prof. Normand’s stay, he gave four lectures by the title “Policy and politics of accountability,” "Leadership: A lever for reform,” "The case of France :an exception in the European landscape,” and “The knowledge-based policy in education at European level. These lectures are enriching, entertaining, and much appreciated by the students present. After the lectures, on behalf of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Prof. Normand also expressed the willingness to establish academic cooperation with IICE.
