IICE Attended the 25th Korean Conference on International Understanding Education and Delivered a Speech

On November 2 to 3, 2024, IICE Professor JIANG Yingmin, IICE Professor SUN Jin, IICE Associate Professor HUANG Yu, IICE Lecturer JING Xiaoli, and IICE master's student CUI Hengjun attended the 25th Korean Conference on International Understanding Education in Seoul, South Korea. The conference, themed Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Global Citizenship Education in the Digital Era, attracted over 120 scholars and frontline educators from South Korea, Japan, and China who are engaged in international understanding education.


During the conference, Professor JIANG Yingmin analyzed cases of dialogue lessons on coexistence with the 'Other' among middle school students from China and Japan. Professor SUN Jin reviewed Germany's sustainable development policies and practices. Associate Professor HUANG Yu examined the concept of the world in Chinese geography textbooks, while Lecturer JING Xiaoli presented a case study on the implementation of international understanding education at Chengdu Shishi Tianfu Middle School. The four representatives from our institute actively contributed to discussions and engaged in lively exchanges with participants from South Korea and Japan.


The Korean Society for International Understanding Education, the event's organizer, and the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), the supporting organization, extended a warm welcome to the IICE faculty and students.
