On December 17, 2020, IICE Distinguished Professor GU Mingyuan was invited to participate in the 2020 Annual Meeting on Commemorating the "Good Teachers in China" Charity Action Plan held at Beijing Normal University. The annual meeting was hosted by WU Hongjian, Director of the Promotion Office of the "Good Teachers in China" project.

The annual meeting was composed of leader speech, annual summary, contact sharing, principal sharing, teacher sharing, supportive unit speech, work forms and expert reports. During the expert report session, Prof. GU made a sharing speech entitled "Basic Education Towards a New Journey of Educational Modernization".
