IICE Professor LIU Baocun attended the summit and delivered a speech entitled ‘Meeting the Changes of Future Education’.

Prof. LIU noted that the internet and artificial intelligence (AI) are changing the world, including world education. Against such backdrops, education has been reexamined to a large extent with the expansion of approaches to learning, the changes of educational goals, contents, teacher-student relationships, and so many others. While technology is revolutionizing education sectors, Prof. LIU said, the fundamental purposes of education should never be forgotten which include inheriting culture, creating knowledge, and nurturing people with both skills and morality. He emphasized that teachers and instructors should catch up with the new times by ceaseless learning to gain a more thorough understanding of the changes brought about by technology and to better meet the demands of education and students, but he expressed the belief that schools and teachers would not disappear with the advancement of internet and AI.
