IICE Professor LIU Baocun Attended WCCES Executive Committee Meeting and the Annual Conference of French Society of Comparative Education

From October 10 to 11, 2017, the meeting of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) Executive Committee was held at the University of Corsica, France. Professor LIU Baocun attended the meeting on behalf of the China Comparative Education Society and the Comparative Education Society of Asia. The meeting discussed a number of reports proposed by various departments of WCCES including the publishing committee, finance committee, council committee, ethics committee, special project committee, international ethics committee, election working team, gender research working team and peace education research working team. During the meeting, WCCES and the Sociedad Mexicana de Educación Comparada (SOMEC; Mexican Society of Comparative Education) signed the official deal of holding the 17th WCCES congress in Cancun, Mexico in 2019. The next Executive Committee meeting was proposed for Johannesburg, South Africa.
Prof. LIU also attended the AFEC/AISLF & LACES International Conference on Cultural Diversity & Citizenship organized by the Association Francophone d'Éducation Comparée (AFEC - French Society of Comparative Education) between Oct 12 and 14. There, he delivered a speech entitled “Social Participation in the New Education Governance System in China: an International and Comparative Perspective” to discuss related issues captioned.
