IICE Co-organized a Conference on Educational Openness to Africa

On August 27, 2016, a conference on educational openness to Africa was held at Beijing Normal University, jointly organized by the IICE, the International and Comparative Education Institute of Zhejiang Normal University, and the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Network on International Education and Values Education. Approximately 40 scholars from the USA, the UK, Japan, Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, and various international organizations attended the conference.
 
The conference proceeded around six themes: 1) China’s Educational Openness from the Perspective of Global Educational Governance; 2) Sino-Africa Educational Cooperation under Education 2030 Agenda: Mission and Focus; 3) Development of First-class Universities and First-class Disciplines for Chinese Universities and Sino-Africa Educational Cooperation; 4) Educational Cooperation between Africa and both Developed Nations and Developing Nations: Experiences and Lessons; 5) Demand for Sino-Africa Cooperation; 6) China’s Educational Openness to Africa at New Times: Mission, Challenges and Paths.
