On April 22, 2016, China’s Ministry of Education issued the 2015 Yangtze River Scholar List in recognition of academic achievements of scholars in various disciplines. IICE Professor LIU Baocun was named Yangtze River Scholar Project Distinguished Professor, the only professor in the field of comparative education to receive the award up to now.

The award is the highest individual academic award in higher education given by China’s Ministry of Education with the goal of helping Chinese university research attain world-class achievement.
