In light of the new Chinese Education Encyclopedia being published recently, Deputy Prime Minister LIU Yandong wrote to Mr. GU Mingyuan of IICE to celebrate this remarkable achievement and success.
The Chinese Education Encyclopedia is the first professional encyclopedia on education of its kind; it’s the hard work of three generations of Chinese educators, including many scholars at Beijing Normal University who made outstanding contributions to this work. Minister LIU first thanked all the scholars who have been a part of writing and editing for making this systemic knowledge possible, and he acknowledged the high importance of the series. He believes that “the encyclopedia uses precise and concise language to explain foundational theories in depth, summarizes historical experience, and introduces the latest research evidence. It is exceptionally important and foundational in completing and perfecting Chinese socialist education theory.”
In the meantime, Minister LIU also encourages all scholars to continue making further progress, he hopes that researchers can build on this new starting point and continue to persevere in advancing scientific education development, and make greater contributions in establishing a well-rounded international education power.
