A group of 27 representatives from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences visited IICE and Director LIU Baocun, Prof. SUN Jinfu, Dr. TENG Jun, and Dr. LIU Qiang welcomed them to IICE.
      Director LIU Baocun delivered a welcome address to the visiting scholars, and Dr. LIU Qiang introduced Beijing Normal University, as well as the IICE, and especially the new International PhD and Master’s Program in Education Leadership. Prof. Rainer Lisowski thanked the IICE for being such a wonderful host, and believes that this is a great opportunity for both sides to learn more about each other. Prof. Lisowski will be back this fall at Beijing Normal University as a visiting scholar for the MARIHE-Exchange program.
      Our German visitors had many questions about studying and living at Beijing Normal University, the Center staff tried their best to answer all the questions. After the reception, Director LIU Baocun exchanged gifts with our German guests, and both parties expressed their wish to further this friendship and communication. Three Master’s students guided our German guests on a campus tor, and they had great impressions of the library, gymnasium, etc.
      Universities of applied science are important components of German Higher Education, and play an important role in nurturing talents with applied skills in Germany. This event has given IICE a closer look at the German universities of applied sciences model, in the meantime, many international scholars and students were able to witness the development and achievements at Beijing Normal University, raising IICE’s global influence.
